APOCALIPSIS ENTRE AMIGOS
“Apocalipsis entre amigos o el día simplemente” is a performance that takes place at the turn of the night, in which energetic, euphoric and tired bodies dance to the rhythm of electronic and ambient music. Wandering through the spectrum of possible and imaginary states of bodies in celebration, this performance summons the idea of an end that is also the beginning, of darkness that is also brightness, of night that is also day.
Through a durational performance conceived for the gallery space, a type of listening and attention to the common is mobilized which is reflected as an ecology of states within space.
There seems to have been a circle or a fire. Maybe there was a party and maybe it's over, but here there's still something to celebrate. It is the party of an end or perhaps an end of a party.
There will perhaps be an apocalypse. It could be a December solstice or the end of the world after tonight. Or even maybe a total darkness at noon, or a hundred-year hungriness, or the simultaneous collapse of all computers, all algorithms, or something advancing at the speed of light. against this very place where we wait.
This project poses the question of how to be together, united and distant. How to establish a sudden and permanent bond for the simple fact that we are all waiting for something. And maybe that something is some kind of end, or it's death, or it's the absolute beauty of the world's last second fading away.
